Serious Power in an Under-Bonnet Package

The Yella Terra Stage 2 package is a comprehensive, water-to-air intercooled supercharger system designed to fit neatly under the bonnet of VN, VP, VR, VS and VT Holden V8 models.

Powered by Whipple’s Gen 4 2.4L twin-screw compressor, the system delivers exceptional throttle response, improved efficiency and the unmistakable Whipple supercharger whine.

The 2.4L Whipple performs exceptionally well on standard and mildly modified 304ci engines, while its capacity and horsepower potential make it equally suitable for 355ci stroker combinations.

All major components are proudly manufactured and machined by Yella Terra in Australia.

Independent Supercharger Drive

The supercharger uses a dedicated drive system, preventing additional load from being applied to the engine’s existing accessory drive.

The kit is supplied with a six-rib drive. An optional eight-rib drive upgrade is available for higher-boost applications.

Intercooler System

The complete water-to-air intercooler system is designed to reduce and control inlet-air temperatures under boost. It includes:

• Billet intercooler core
• Triple-pass front heat exchanger
• Heavy-duty electric water pump
• Billet coolant reservoir
• Required hoses and installation components

The intake manifold is pre-machined to accept the intercooler system without increasing the installed height of the supercharger.

Throttle-Body Compatibility

All Yella Terra intake manifolds are machined to the same specification and are designed specifically for:

• LS1 three-bolt 90 mm cable throttle bodies
• Peter Starr four-bolt 90 mm throttle bodies

Two additional mounting holes are provided to accommodate later LS3-style four-bolt throttle bodies. However, two of the LS3 throttle-body mounting holes must be slotted for correct fitment.

The manifold is supplied with a maximum 90 mm throttle bore to ensure the LS1 and Peter Starr throttle bodies seal correctly. Any throttle body larger than 90 mm will require the manifold bore to be professionally matched.

A separately available adaptor plate allows the use of the factory two-bolt Holden throttle body. However, a larger 90 mm throttle body is recommended for maximum performance.

These are the only supported throttle-body configurations.

Standard Supercharger Pulley

The kit is supplied standard with a 77 mm supercharger pulley.

Optional pulley sizes include:

• 74 mm
• 71 mm
• 67 mm
• 64 mm
• 61 mm

Pulley selection and the resulting boost level will depend on engine capacity, engine specification and crank-pulley diameter. The engine must be professionally tuned for the selected pulley and boost level.

• A suitable larger-capacity throttle body
• Larger fuel injectors
• Adequate fuel-system capacity
• Professional installation
• A custom ECU tune

• Installation, fuel injectors and ECU tuning are not included.
• Boost level and power output will vary according to engine capacity, compression ratio, camshaft, cylinder heads, pulley selection, exhaust system, fuel quality and tune.
• Engine and fuel-system suitability must be confirmed before installation.
• Smaller supercharger pulleys increase boost and may require additional engine, fuel-system and drive-system upgrades.
• Professional installation and tuning are strongly recommended.
